In addition, trainees were also guided on the procedures for implementing a number of social protection policies for people with disabilities such as: procedures for making social protection regimes; confirming the issuance and exchange of certificates of disability level; social allowance regimes for people with disabilities; skills to assist people with disabilities; preventing and reducing child labor, preventing drowning, etc. Thereby consolidating and updating information and knowledge on social assistance and social protection policies for social protection officers; creating connections to share difficulties, obstacles as well as experiences in approaching and implementing policies for people with disabilities in the area.
It is known that through the determination of disability level, the whole province has more than 17,000 people who have been granted disability certificates (based on the determination of disability level of the commune-level council and the conclusion of the Provincial Medical Assessment Council), accounting for about 1.92% of the total population of the whole province. Basically, the majority of people with disabilities have been supported and encouraged to confidently integrate into the community and have a stable life.
