On the morning of February 2, Ship 20 of Squadron 132, Brigade 172, Naval Region 3, along with a working delegation of the Vietnam People's Navy led by Colonel Doan Bao Anh, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 3, left Da Nang to participate in the MILAN 2024 Multilateral Naval Exercise in India, combined with a friendship visit to Malaysia.
This trip of Ship 20 aims to continue to improve coordination in responding to common challenges of maritime security; strengthen relations, cooperation, understanding and mutual trust between the armies and navies of the countries participating in the MILAN 2024 Multilateral Naval Exercise, for peace and stability in the region and the world . At the same time, further consolidate and strengthen the friendly relationship and good cooperation between the Vietnamese army and navy with the armies and navies of India and Malaysia.

According to the plan, in Malaysia, Ship 20 and the delegation will pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Western Fleet and Lumut Naval Base, Royal Malaysian Navy; participate in sports and cultural exchanges; visit local cultural and historical relics... Within the framework of the Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 2024 in Visakhapatnam (India), Ship 20 and the delegation will participate in many activities in two phases: at the wharf and live-fire exercises at sea.
Before Ship 20 left the port, the Naval Region 3 Command held a conference to disseminate information, assign tasks and launch a peak competition in participating in the MILAN 2024 Multilateral Naval Exercise in India, combined with a friendship visit to Malaysia.
