Tay Ninh: Two businesses were fined 1.6 billion VND for installing exhaust pipes that did not comply with regulations.

According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, each enterprise was fined 800 million VND.

Previously, through inspection, the functional sector determined that Dang Hung Duy Company Limited, with Ms. Pham Thi Nhan as legal representative, in the field of processing tapioca starch, headquartered at O4/60B, Truong Luu Hamlet, Truong Dong Commune, Hoa Thanh Town, had installed a 1.5 HP pump and a 90mm pipe at the centralized wastewater tank (area 15m x 10m x 2m) leading to Doan Tran stream, which was not included in the discharge license and the certificate of completion of the wastewater treatment facility issued by the provincial authorities.

As for Tan Thuy Company Limited, with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tan as legal representative, in the field of processing tapioca starch, headquartered at O4/87A, Truong Luu Hamlet, Truong Dong Commune, Hoa Thanh Town, the functional sector determined that the company had installed a 200mm diameter pipe at the manhole location (area 2m x 2m x 5m) from the collection tank leading to Doan Tran stream, which was not included in the discharge license and the certificate of completion of the wastewater treatment facility issued by the provincial authorities.

After being discovered, both companies corrected their violations and removed the improperly installed pipelines. At the time of the inspection, both companies did not discharge waste into the environment.

The penalty decision of the Provincial People's Committee also applied an additional penalty to the two above-mentioned enterprises, which is to revoke the right to use environmental licenses for 3 months, from the effective date of the administrative penalty decision.
