In the 2021-2025 period, the program has close coordination between the Vietnam Women's Union and the Border Guard Command, unifying the direction of the Women's Unions of provinces, cities, and border posts to mobilize support from all levels, sectors, accompanying units, and sponsors to support border communes according to the motto "Unanimity, creativity, substance, and sustainability".
Through this, more than 294 billion VND has been mobilized to take care of the material and spiritual life of women in border areas; 1,022 livelihood models have been built, 670 vocational classes have been organized, more than 19,000 women have been supported to borrow capital and tens of thousands of women have been consulted and introduced to jobs; 7/7 targets have been achieved and exceeded.
In Tay Ninh, the program was implemented in border communes with the active support of the Association at all levels and the Provincial Border Guard Command. Over the past 5 years, units in the province have mobilized more than 30 billion VND to carry out many practical activities: giving away over 65,000 gifts, building 40 shelters, supporting over 400 women with interest-free loans to develop the economy , awarding 2,500 scholarships and 350 health insurance cards to poor women and children.
In addition, the Provincial Women's Union coordinated to support a livelihood and housing model worth 150 million VND for disadvantaged women in Nam Nhu commune, Nam Po district, Dien Bien province - a border area with many difficulties in the Northern region.
Tay Ninh is also a typical unit in implementing the “Godmother” program when mobilizing care for 243 orphans, of which 96 children received support until the age of 18. The total resources mobilized from the program reached more than 2.8 billion VND.
The synchronous implementation of activities not only contributes to improving the lives of women in border areas but also demonstrates the role and responsibility of the Association in protecting border sovereignty and building a solid people's position.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union awarded many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the program. In particular, the Tay Ninh Provincial Women's Union and Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Van - President of the Provincial Women's Union were awarded certificates of merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for their outstanding achievements in implementing the program.
