Regiment 4, Division 5: The Imprint of "Skillful Mass Mobilization" in the People's Hearts

Under the close leadership of the Party Committee and the Regiment Commander, the unit has turned mass mobilization work into a combined strength, consolidating the flesh-and-blood relationship between the military and the people. The thorough implementation of resolutions and directives on mass mobilization work has created a strong change in awareness and action throughout the Regiment.

100% of the unit's officers and soldiers were thoroughly informed of the contents and measures of mass mobilization work, especially the 12 disciplinary rules when dealing with the people. This helped build the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" as friendly and close to the people. The regiment proactively coordinated closely with local Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations, especially in Tay Ninh province, to carry out a series of meaningful activities.

Over the years, the unit has contributed nearly 10,000 working days of officers and soldiers, joining hands in building new rural areas. Specifically, the Regiment has supported upgrading rural concrete roads, building concrete yards for the Cultural House of Binh Long Hamlet, Cay Xieng Hamlet in Thai Binh Commune, Dong Khoi Commune (Chau Thanh District) and helping to build the parish house of Kien Long Parish. These practical works have contributed to changing the face of the countryside, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

In particular, in the fierce fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the Regiment has demonstrated a pioneering spirit, not afraid of difficulties. Hundreds of officers and soldiers have participated in epidemic prevention and control campaigns in Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and Long An, supporting tracing, testing, transporting food and medical supplies, helping people overcome the most difficult period.

The work of eliminating leaky houses and temporary houses for policy beneficiaries and the poor has always received special attention from the Regiment. The unit has supported forces, handed over funds, started construction and handed over 18 solidarity houses, gratitude houses, comrade houses, and military-civilian gratitude houses. These houses not only have material value but also demonstrate the deep heart and sharing of officers and soldiers towards the people.

Visiting and gift-giving activities on holidays and Tet are also maintained regularly. The Regiment has presented 100 gifts worth nearly 35 million VND to policy families, people and religious people in difficult circumstances. During Tet alone, the unit has presented 379 gifts with a total value of 379 million VND.

The regiment maintains 27 sister units well, organizes cultural, artistic and sports exchanges, contributing to strengthening the relationship between the army and the people. The "Zalo group for the Army's rear" model has connected the unit with the families of new soldiers, helping to promptly grasp ideological developments and take care of the army's rear policies.

The persistent efforts have brought about worthy results. Regiment 4 has been continuously awarded certificates of merit by the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee from 2021 to 2024. In addition, 22 collectives and 54 individuals were awarded at the district level; 21 collectives and 50 individuals were awarded at the commune level for their mass mobilization work. These figures are clear evidence of the effectiveness of the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization" and the building of a "Good Mass Mobilization Unit" of the unit in recent times.
