Implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 and Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, Tan Chau District Party Committee has many specific and practical solutions.
One of the typical models demonstrating this spirit is the "Comrade's House" model built by the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department (now the District Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department) and implemented since March 25, 2021.
The “Comrades’ House” model was established with the aim of supporting the construction and repair of houses for party members in difficult circumstances. After 4 years of implementation, the model has received consensus and positive response from the Party Committee and Party members of the branches and grassroots Party Committees throughout the district.
The total amount mobilized so far is nearly 748 million VND, of which the Party Committee supported nearly 100 million VND, the rest was contributed by Party members. From this fund, the district has built 7 new houses, repaired 2 houses and supported the construction of auxiliary works for 2 Party members in difficult circumstances, with a total implementation cost of more than 731 million VND. Currently, the remaining fund is planned by the District Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department to purchase essential equipment to give to families when handing over the houses.
Implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the District Party Committee has coordinated with the branches and grassroots Party Committees to review, survey and verify the reality of poor Party members and those with difficult housing circumstances in the area. Over the past 4 years, 42 cases have been proposed for support. On that basis, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee established a survey team to examine and select truly urgent cases, ensuring transparency and fairness.
Specifically, the case of party member Hoang Nhat Tan (born in 1957), activities at the District Farmers' Association Party Cell. Mr. Tan's family is in difficulty, has no land, no house, and has to stay at Mr. Cao Xuan Viet's house in Tan Thanh hamlet, Tan Hung commune. The family has 3 members, the main income is Mr. Tan's pension. His family is not a policy beneficiary, nor is it a poor or near-poor household. The Party Committee and People's Committee of Tan Hung commune considered supporting public land funds and proposed to support the construction of a house for the comrade.
Being given a house with warm comradeship, Mr. Tan was extremely happy: “With the attention of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the District Party Committee, the Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Tan Hung commune, my family was given land and a house. My family was extremely touched, this is the deep concern of the Party Committee for Party members in particular and the whole society in general - those who have difficult housing circumstances. From now on, my family has a stable place to live, will focus on labor and production, gradually overcoming difficulties to stabilize life" .
The “Comrades’ House” model of Tan Chau District Party Committee has spread profound humanistic values throughout the entire political system and all classes of people in the district. It not only contributes to improving living conditions for party members in difficult circumstances, but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and mutual love within the Party, creating motivation for each party member to continue to contribute, promote exemplary pioneering spirit in work and life, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization.
