Tay Ninh province strives to be among the top 10 localities nationwide in terms of provincial green index in 2025. To achieve this goal, the Provincial People's Committee requires drastic and synchronous implementation, associated with the responsibility of the head.

Tay Ninh increases support for businesses to "green" production

The People's Committee of Tay Ninh province has just issued a plan to implement tasks and solutions to improve the Green Growth Index (PGI) in 2025 and the following years to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities, and the business community in improving the investment environment and promoting sustainable development. Tay Ninh province strives to be among the top 10 localities nationwide in terms of provincial green growth index in 2025.

To achieve this goal, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province requires the implementation to be drastic, synchronous, and linked to the responsibility of the leader. Agencies and units must develop specific plans, clearly define goals, solutions, roadmaps, and assign responsibilities; at the same time, strengthen monitoring and evaluation of implementation results.

One of the key groups of solutions is to minimize environmental pollution and the negative impacts of climate change. Tay Ninh will focus on investing in technical infrastructure, especially drainage systems, flood prevention, and riverbank and canal erosion prevention. At the same time, promote the development of green transport infrastructure, public transport using electricity and clean energy; encourage investment in bus stations, water ports, and rest stops according to green criteria.

Afforestation, urban greening, and increasing tree density are integrated with environmental campaigns, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Tay Ninh province also implements a plan to manage air and surface water quality; strengthens environmental monitoring, and promptly warns of pollution risks.

Tay Ninh is determined not to accept projects with high risk of pollution. Production facilities must strictly comply with environmental standards, install automatic monitoring systems, apply ISO 14001 management standards, and purchase environmental incident liability insurance.

At the same time, Tay Ninh province promotes waste sorting at source, attracts investment in solid waste and urban wastewater treatment, and replicates pilot models sponsored by international organizations. Environmental protection propaganda has been enhanced, from reducing single-use plastic waste to preserving biodiversity.

The plan emphasizes the government's pioneering responsibility in supporting businesses in "greening" production. Incentive policies and services to support businesses in accessing green credit, investing in renewable energy, and cleaner production will be strongly implemented.

In particular, the province focuses on reforming administrative procedures, making information transparent, and shortening the time for processing documents to create the most favorable conditions for businesses to invest and develop in a sustainable direction.
