TEMPEST vs. Rookie All-Round: The final promises to be exciting.

TEMPEST became the last foreign group to compete against the all-round rookie group. The filming was recently completed in Ho Chi Minh City and is scheduled to air during the final ranking night in January 2026.

On social media, some audience members who attended the show shared that the recording was filled with TEMPEST fans, creating a cheerful and youthful atmosphere. Others expressed their excitement to see TEMPEST perform on the small screen and considered it an "unforgettable" stage performance.

The all-around rookie learned a lot from TEMPEST.

TEMPEST, which debuted in 2022, has Vietnamese member Hanbin, so it has garnered a lot of attention from Vietnamese fans. TEMPEST has performed in Vietnam many times, but this is the first time they have been invited as guests to a search for members of a young Vietnamese boy band.

In a short period of time, the group won a series of awards such as: Best Male Rookie Award (Genie Music Awards 2022) and Rookie of the Year - Male (Hanteo Music Awards 2023). TEMPEST once had the best-selling album of the year and was the only rookie male group to reach Top 1 of the Weekly Circle Chart upon their debut.

TEMPEST recently completed his first solo tour, T-OUR: Tempest Voyage, here and has consistently received international accolades for the regional market, most recently: Male Idol of the Year (Vietnam) at the Brand of the Year Awards 2024 and Best Male Idol (Vietnam) at the Korea First Brand Awards 2025.

The all-around rookie group has reached its final stage after a training and development journey. The program spanned four performances, during which the rookies advanced, interacted with, learned from, and gained experience from six international groups from South Korea (8TURN, JUSTB, ARrC), Japan (Kid Phenomenon), Thailand (BUS), and Taiwan (FEniX). Three rookies were eliminated: minhtin, Ho Dong Quan, and Swan Nguyen.

The producers of Rookie of the Year hope that the appearance of a group with explosive energy and extensive performance experience like TEMPEST will help rookies become more confident, face difficulties, and overcome limitations.
