According to The Nation/Asia News Network, the Thai Meteorological Department said Bangkok's Bang Na district will be the second hottest place in the country at 50.2 degrees Celsius.
Three other hot areas include Phetchabun province (44.3 degrees Celsius), Chonburi province (43.2 degrees Celsius) and Chok Chai district of Nakhon Ratchasima city (41.3 degrees Celsius).

The Thai Meteorological Department has also warned that people in these areas - with temperatures ranging from 41 degrees Celsius to 54 degrees Celsius - are at risk of cramps and sunstroke. This is classified as an orange (dangerous) warning in Thailand. Above 54 degrees Celsius is red (very dangerous).
Earlier this month, Thai politician and tycoon Chonsawat Asavahame died at the age of 54 due to the heat.
Heatstroke occurs due to a disruption of the thermoregulatory center when exposed to excessive heat, with symptoms including fatigue, dizziness, slurred speech, possible loss of consciousness, convulsions and even cardiac arrest.
