Thai Nguyen has the first district to meet advanced NTM standards

(PLVN) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1067/QD-TTg recognizing Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024. This is the first district in Thai Nguyen province to be recognized as meeting standards at this level.

100% of inter-district and inter-commune roads have been asphalted and concreted.

In recent years, Phu Binh district has focused on mobilizing many resources to build new rural areas, gradually improving the quality of criteria in a sustainable direction, suitable to local practical conditions.

According to the content of Decision No. 1067/QD-TTg, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province to announce and organize the rewards according to regulations. At the same time, he directed the People's Committee of Phu Binh district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, with special attention to the criteria on economy and environment.

Up to the time of recognition, Phu Binh district has completed 9/9 criteria of advanced NTM district according to Decision No. 320/QD-TTg dated March 8, 2022 of the Prime Minister . The district has 11/19 communes meeting the standards of advanced NTM communes, accounting for 57.8%. Some criteria have achieved high rates, reflecting clear results of the process of infrastructure development and improving the lives of local residents.

Specifically, 100% of inter-district and inter-commune roads have been asphalted and concreted. 99% of hamlet and alley roads have been hardened, facilitating trade and people's daily activities.

The district has 19/19 communes with cultural houses, cultural centers and sports areas that meet the prescribed standards, and entertainment venues are equipped with public sports equipment to serve the community.

Telecommunications and information technology infrastructure is also invested synchronously, meeting the needs of connection and digital transformation in building e-government and socio-economic development.

Previously, in 2022, Phu Binh district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting the standards of a new rural district.

The recognition of Phu Binh district as meeting advanced NTM standards is the result of the drastic direction, the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the high consensus of the people. This achievement contributes significantly to the goal of making Thai Nguyen a province with comprehensive and sustainable development.
