Promoting international and regional economic integration, including participation in FTAs, has become a consistent policy of Vietnam in recent times. Up to now, our country has negotiated, signed and implemented 17 FTAs with more than 60 partners, making an important contribution to the construction of an increasingly developed and strong Vietnamese economy.
At the ceremony, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the results of the survey and assessment of the implementation of FTAs in localities, the effectiveness of programs and policies to support businesses in taking advantage of FTAs, the implementation of sustainable development commitments in FTAs, and the difficulties and obstacles that localities and businesses face...
In the process of implementing FTAs, all levels and sectors of Thai Nguyen province have proactively researched, reviewed and commented on draft policies and legal documents of central agencies; regularly monitored and promptly synthesized information on policies and import-export activities with FTA markets and domestic market needs for the business community.
In 2024, Thai Nguyen attracted over 100 investors from China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, etc. to explore investment opportunities in industrial parks; granted 25 new investment registration certificates with a registered investment capital of 680 million USD in industrial parks...
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed: The results of the survey and assessment of the implementation of FTAs are new tools with systematic quantitative nature. This is a transparent, objective and fair basis for the Government, ministries, central agencies and localities to plan mechanisms, policies and manage import and export, towards sustainable export. The FTA is a gateway connecting Vietnam with the world on the basis of harmonious benefits and shared risks.
The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to actively negotiate and sign agreements to expand the market for Vietnamese goods; and recommended solutions for state management agencies and the business community to take advantage of the FTAs that Vietnam has participated in.

On this occasion, many collectives received Certificates of Merit for their achievements and good results in implementing the FTA Index in 2024. Thai Nguyen is one of the 11 provinces with good results in evaluating the results of implementing the FTA Index in 2024, receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
