Right from the first minutes, the red team showed their dominance. In the 5th minute, from a corner kick on the right wing, center back Choe Song-hun escaped from his marker and fired a tricky shot, opening the score for U17 North Korea. In the 19th minute, the Indonesian defense continued to show mistakes and Kim Yu-jin took advantage of the opportunity to launch a beautiful volley, doubling the gap for the East Asian team.
Indonesia U17 tried to fight back but were completely blocked by the opponent's close and well-organized play. In the 48th minute, Ri Kyong-bong escaped his marker and accurately finished to make it 3-0, after a pass from the right wing by Pak Kwang-song. Just two minutes later, the team from the archipelago country made another mistake, when a defender handled the ball in the penalty area. From the penalty spot, Kim Tae-guk coolly increased the score to 4-0.
In the 61st minute, Kang Rim stole the ball in the penalty area, passed three Indonesian defenders before scoring the fifth goal for North Korea. And in the 76th minute, Park Ju Won sealed the 6-0 “set tennis” victory with a tricky left-footed shot from a corner kick. This was a comprehensive victory for North Korea U17 in both game position and score.
Previously, the Quarterfinals of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship determined the first two teams to enter the semi-finals, host Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.

In the match between U17 Saudi Arabia and U17 Japan, the team from the land of the rising sun opened the score in the 9th minute thanks to a penalty kick by Seguchi. However, just 8 minutes later, Saudi Arabia equalized from the 11m mark thanks to Saeed. In the 37th minute, Sabri Dahal raised the score to 2-1 for the home team, but Japan managed to equalize 2-2 in the 72nd minute thanks to a goal by Asada. After 120 minutes of play, the two teams entered a penalty shootout and U17 Saudi Arabia won 3-2.

In the second quarter-final match on the same day, U17 Uzbekistan showed their superiority against U17 UAE. In the first 36 minutes, Aliev completed a double, helping Uzbekistan lead 2-0. Before the end of the first half, Sodikov scored from the penalty spot, raising the score to 3-0. In the second half, U17 UAE only got an honorary goal in the 67th minute thanks to Buti.
Thus, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan are the first two teams to enter the semi-finals of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship. The remaining two quarter-final matches will take place tonight to determine the final names in the round of 4 strongest teams.
The winner of the match between Indonesia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will face Uzbekistan. Saudi Arabia will face the winner of the match between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea on April 15.
