Hanoi Police won the national firefighting and rescue competition

On the morning of May 30, in Hanoi, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with the Hanoi City Police to organize the opening ceremony of the final round of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Sports Competition in the 9th "For National Security" Sports Festival Program in 2025.

In 2025, Hanoi City Police was honored to be selected by the Ministry of Public Security as the host unit to organize the final round of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Sports Competition in the 9th "For National Security" Sports Festival Program in 2025.

The contest is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

The competition is organized with 3 contents: "Command fire fighting and rescue"; "Swimming rescue" and "4x100m relay race to rescue people and fight fires".

Previously, on May 29, the teams competed in two events: "Commanding firefighting and rescue" and "Swimming rescue". Based on the results of the competitions, the Organizing Committee will announce and award prizes to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements.

In the end, Hanoi City Police won first prize overall.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said that the organization of the competition not only creates a playground for athletes to compete, demonstrate their bravery and professional skills, but also an opportunity for units and each officer of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police to learn, exchange experiences, and further improve their qualifications and skills in responding to and handling fire, explosion, incidents and accidents.

The representative of the host unit of the contest, Major General Duong Duc Hai, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, said: "Through the contest, we will increasingly promote the good nature and glorious tradition of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police; foster the will, bravery, responsibility, actively train and strive to excellently complete tasks, quickly handle incidents, promptly rescue people and property of the people, worthy of the tradition of "Vietnamese Police are intelligent, brave, serving the country, the people, selflessly serving".
