There were 14 teams participating in the competition from districts, towns, city Youth Unions and affiliated Youth Unions in the province. The teams went through 4 rounds: Displaying creative products; introducing their units (10 minutes to briefly introduce the unit, integrating environmental protection content, introducing environmental protection models in the locality and facility, thereby sending a message to the competition).

In the knowledge round, each team sends 3 official members to participate in the knowledge round; the units have the right to answer questions to learn about knowledge and understanding of the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws on environmental protection, natural resources and plastic waste prevention and control through the form of ringing the bell to answer. Finally, in the team understanding round, each team sends 2 members (1 person to suggest, 1 person to answer) to participate in answering 5 keywords related to the content of the contest within 60 seconds.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to Chau Doc City Youth Union, the second prize to An Phu District Youth Union; Chau Thanh District Youth Union and Long Xuyen City Youth Union both won the third prize; at the same time, awarded 10 consolation prizes and 1 prize for typical creative models.
