Competition program for teenagers and children.
The event attracted 32 contestants who are teenagers and children studying and living at primary schools; middle schools; high schools; art clubs in and outside the province; selected from more than 100 contestants participating in the preliminary round taking place in April 2025. In the ranking round, contestants of 2 age groups (from 8 to 11 years old; from 12 to 15 years old) performed Quan Ho folk songs with old and new lyrics, in 2 genres: solo and duet.
With careful preparation and passion for art, the children brought emotional and fresh performances imbued with traditional cultural identity; contributing to fostering the love of Quan Ho in the young generation, arousing pride in the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The playground is held annually to propagate, promote, preserve and develop the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs; thereby searching, selecting and nurturing Quan Ho talents, promoting the development of Quan Ho young clubs not only in Bac Ninh province in particular but also in other provinces across the country.
The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the solo category in 2 age groups to contestants Nguyen Thi Tra My (Viet Yen district, Bac Giang) and Nguyen Thi Bao Ngoc (Tien Du district, Bac Ninh); the first prize in the duet category to contestants Dang Thu Huyen and Nguyen Thi Tra My (both from Viet Yen, Bac Giang); 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes, 11 consolation prizes to the winning contestants.
The organizing committee awarded certificates and prizes to the contestants.
On the same afternoon, the Bac Ninh Province Nightingale Singing Contest 2025 also took place with the participation of 34 contestants in 2 age groups (8 to 11 years old and 12 to 16 years old). The children performed solo songs praising their homeland, country, teachers, friends, family, etc. The contest not only created conditions for children to show their musical talent but also contributed to nurturing their souls, fostering love for their homeland, people and good values of life from an early age.
