In the first 9 months of 2024, Hue city has implemented key tasks, solutions and programs to accelerate the socio -economic development in the area. After 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/HU, dated October 14, 2021 of the District Party Committee on service - tourism development in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, up to now, 4/7 main targets set out in the resolution have been completed. Notably, tourism revenue and accompanying services in the period of 2022 - 2024 reached 5,235 billion VND, an average increase of over 9%/year. The number of tourists increased by an average of over 10%/year; the average length of stay was 1,361 visitors/day; the average spending was over 1 million VND/visitor.

Regarding the construction of urban technical infrastructure, in the period of 2022 - 2024, investment in the construction of urban technical infrastructure systems in the district has been deployed with a total of 101/173 projects, with a total investment of more than 481 billion VND/more than 1,211 billion VND compared to the resolution's target.

The district People's Committee has also implemented the construction of the type V urban project of Loc Thuy, Loc Vinh and Loc Tien communes. Up to now, basically the 3 communes mentioned above have met 5/5 criteria according to regulations, eligible for recognition of urban areas meeting type V urban criteria. The total estimated production value was more than 27,400 billion VND, reaching 67% of the plan, up 7.27% over the same period. Of which, the production value of the industry - construction sector reached 23,494 billion VND, up 6.8%; the service sector reached 3,294 billion VND, up 11.4%; agriculture had a good harvest, with an average rice yield of more than 65 quintals/ha. Budget revenue reached 378.2 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 0.74%.
