Lao Cai City honors more than 560 outstanding students in the 2024 - 2025 school year

On the afternoon of May 28, at the Provincial Convention Center, the People's Committee of Lao Cai City held a ceremony to honor and reward outstanding students in 2025; launch the Month of Action for Children and open the summer activities in 2025.

Attending the ceremony were the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai city; leaders of the Departmentof Education and Training; representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches, schools and nearly 600 outstanding students of the 2024-2025 school year, students with especially difficult circumstances in the city.

With solidarity, creativity and innovation, the education sector of Lao Cai city continues to achieve outstanding and outstanding results in the 2024-2025 school year. During the year, 8,598 students won prizes in competitions and exams from the city level and above (an increase of 99 prizes compared to the previous school year and an increase of 3,310 prizes compared to the first year of the term).

At the provincial-level secondary school excellent student competition, Lao Cai city won 205 prizes (accounting for 39.6% of the total number of prizes in the province), with 100% of the students taking the exam winning prizes, including 6 first prizes. With the achievements, Lao Cai city has 23 students receiving Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, 616 students receiving Certificates of Merit from the Director of the Department of Education and Training, 139 students receiving Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee, 40 students receiving awards from the City's Association for Promoting Education for their outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to students with special achievements, students received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to 565 students with outstanding achievements. The Lao Cai City Association for Promoting Education presented gifts to 40 disabled students and students in difficult circumstances.
