Si Ma Cai summarizes Resolution No. 50 of the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee

On the morning of May 29, the Si Ma Cai District Party Committee held a conference to summarize Resolution No. 50, dated July 3, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee on supporting house building for people with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives, poor households, and near-poor households in Si Ma Cai district.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Trong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Phuc, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee; leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Standing members of the District Party Committee - People's Council - District People's Committee.

At the conference, delegates watched a short report on the results of implementing Resolution No. 50 of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Standing Committee in Si Ma Cai district .

Accordingly, immediately after Resolution No. 50 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the province's directives and instructions were issued, the Si Ma Cai District Party Committee directed the District People's Committee to develop a Project to support housing construction for poor and near-poor households in Si Ma Cai district under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025.

The District People's Committee has also issued many plans to support the construction of houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs, poor households, and near-poor households in the district until the end of 2025; a plan to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Si Ma Cai district... In the period of 2021 - 2025, in the district, there are 1,182 households belonging to people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor households, and near-poor households that need support to build houses. The resources mobilized for this work are more than 137 billion VND.

In 2024, responding to the Prime Minister 's call to launch a 450-day peak emulation campaign to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Simacai district enthusiastically competed and determined to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area before December 31, 2024. Of the total 628 supported houses, 458 were newly built and 170 were repaired, specifically: Poor and near-poor households under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction built 331 new houses and repaired 161 houses; other poor and near-poor households outside the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction had 124 newly built houses and 9 repaired houses; households with meritorious services to the revolution had 3 houses. The district has completed the support of 628/628 houses, reaching 100%.

At the conference, delegates discussed and contributed opinions on the resolution implementation process, sharing difficulties and problems.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the results that Simacai district achieved in implementing Resolution No. 50 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. He emphasized that eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is a major policy of the Party and State to help people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households... have more solid and safe housing, thereby ensuring peace of mind in economic development...

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the District People's Committee to 15 collectives and 29 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to implement Resolution No. 50, dated July 3, 2024 of the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.
