Paying tribute to those who fell for independence and freedom
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh reviewed the indomitable and heroic fighting tradition of the army and people of Binh Thuan during the resistance wars. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: 50 years have passed since the war ended, but those heroic marks are still intact in the memories of many generations. The great sacrifice of the heroic martyrs is the solid foundation for the province to have the development as it is today. "Today's and future generations must never forget the resilient children of Binh Thuan, who together built an indomitable bronze wall, created a high tide of uprising right in the heart of the enemy, the feats of arms still echoing through time", comrade Nguyen Minh emotionally shared.

From the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, our Party, State and People always respect and deeply appreciate those sacrifices. In recent years, Binh Thuan has paid special attention to the work of caring for war invalids, families of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions. Programs to support the construction of gratitude houses, health care, preferentialeducation , vocational training, job creation for children of policy families, etc. have been widely implemented. However, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also frankly acknowledged: "That attention cannot make up for all the losses and pains left by the war". Therefore, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh called on Party committees, authorities, organizations and each person to continue to join hands to care and share with practical actions, turning gratitude into concrete actions in life.

The emotional highlight of the program was the traditional fire-raising exchange between veterans and youth union members. In particular, on this occasion, Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Student Association of the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) to implement the youth project "System for looking up information on martyrs' graves at the provincial Martyrs' Cemetery". This is a modern step forward, applying technology to the management of martyrs' grave information, helping families and relatives easily look up and commemorate, while showing respect and thoughtful care for those who have fallen for the Fatherland.

Preserve and move forward
When thousands of candles are lit on each grave, the whole cemetery seems to glow with a magical light – the light of courage, of eternal patriotism. Each small candle is a heart of gratitude, a bridge between the present and the past, between the living and the fallen heroes.

In that sacred space, each participant seemed to calm down, deeply feeling the value of independence and freedom - things that seem simple but had to be exchanged with the blood and bones of many generations. 50 years after Binh Thuan was liberated, the heroic lands of today have changed day by day: new roads, bustling industrial parks, spacious schools. But above all, the sacred values from the past are always preserved and continued.
