Mourning the victims of the previous school shooting
The Serbian Interior Ministry confirmed that the shooting took place in the village of Dubona in Mladenovac. The gunman opened fire on a group of people while driving around 11pm on May 4 (local time). The gun used was an automatic rifle.
After carrying out the massacre, the gunman drove away from the scene and authorities are currently searching for the perpetrator, according to AFP.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for the 21-year-old male suspect and have cordoned off areas where he is suspected of hiding.
All special police units were deployed in the operation, including anti-terrorist units, helicopter squads and police forces from the cities of Belgrade and Smederevo.

Ambulances and relatives of those shot arrived at the Mladenovac Emergency Center.
The Interior Ministry added that "the gunman is on the run and all patrol units have been deployed in the direction of Mladenovac and Mali Požarevac," CNN reported.
The shooting comes a day after the Balkan nation was rocked by news that a 13-year-old boy had opened fire on his classmates at a school in Belgrade. At least eight children and a security guard were killed.
