Creative competition to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

(QBĐT) - Responding to the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses (XNT, NDN), in recent times, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has made efforts and determination, together with local Party committees, authorities, organizations and people, to speed up the progress and complete the plan according to the set roadmap. In particular, from practice, many good ideas and creative ways of doing things of the grassroots Fatherland Front have contributed to spreading the emulation movement strongly, creating an impression in the community and effectively attracting socialized resources.

A very effective model implemented in Bo Trach district is the establishment of "Zero-cost Worker Teams" and "Low-cost Worker Teams" in Bo Trach to support disadvantaged families in the process of building houses. Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phu Duong Commune, Thi Cam Huong, said that since March 2025, with the coordination between the Commune Front and the Steering Committee for Construction and People's Committees of the commune, "Zero-cost Worker Teams" and "Low-cost Worker Teams" have been established in 11/17 villages. These are villages with 19 households and households that need to be repaired and rebuilt.

The teams of workers include members of the Front Committee, village organizations and some local residents. For those who require support, the teams will come to help clean up, dismantle houses and assist construction workers in the process of repairing and rebuilding houses. This is a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and active support, working together to achieve the common goal of XNT and NDN.

The art program to raise funds to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a highlight of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Bo Trach district.

In early 2025, the people of Hoa Trach commune (Bo Trach) eagerly awaited a "one-of-a-kind" art program, because of the noble meaning of the event. According to Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Trach commune Nguyen Thanh Hoang, in order to mobilize support for the construction and repair of houses for poor and near-poor households in the commune, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Trach commune organized a special art program. For the program to take place thoughtfully, the commune had a well-organized plan, mobilizing residential areas and units to prepare an art performance to participate. The people eagerly practiced enthusiastically, creating a joyful, exciting, united and united atmosphere.

The program was truly a festival for the people of Hoa Trach commune, attracting the participation of many people inside and outside the commune. Right at the program, the organizing committee received nearly 63 million VND in support from units, businesses, philanthropists and many people.

]Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang shared that previously, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune also sent an open letter to all people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, agencies, units, enterprises in Hoa Trach commune, and children working in all parts of the country and abroad. Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Trach commune launched a movement to support the XNT and NDN funds with the desire to mobilize the community's cooperation to help those in difficult circumstances, bringing a safer and more secure home to the people. The locality currently has 3 poor and near-poor households in need of XNT and NDN. In addition to the general support money, from the fund, 3 families were supported with an additional 20 million VND/household to build new houses.

According to Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bo Trach district Nguyen Van Lam, in recent times, the emulation movement of joining hands to build XNT, NDN, the model of "Zero-dong worker team", "Cheap worker team" has been effectively implemented in many communes in the district, such as: Hai Phu, Dai Trach, Phuc Trach, Van Trach... In addition, the Front at all levels has proactively "shaken hands and guided" many other effective activities, including organizing art programs to raise funds to support the emulation movement, such as the communes: Trung Trach, Hoa Trach, Thanh Trach, Lien Trach... The Front at all levels in the area has truly immersed itself in the emulation movement with the highest determination.

Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Don Town, Tran Thi Tuyet Lan, said that in response to the emulation movement, the Front at all levels in the town has implemented many meaningful, creative and flexible activities to support people in the commune and district.

In the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels will continue to make efforts to implement proactive, creative and meaningful solutions to promote the implementation of the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on Enterprises for ethnic minorities in the province. In particular, effectively mobilizing social resources is one of the key solutions.

Notably, in Ba Don ward, the Neighborhood Front actively participated in the emulation movement to join hands in the XNT and NDN movement with 3 households repairing and 8 households rebuilding. The neighborhoods have called for support through the loudspeaker system and received the support of the people. In Ward 3 alone, a poor family received nearly 145 million VND in support (of which, the general support level was 80 million VND, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Bac Quang Binh Branch supported 40 million VND and the remaining amount was contributed by the people in the neighborhood). Ward 2 mobilized support for 1 house to repair with 5 million VND; 1 household to rebuild with 5 tons of cement... The Ward Front supported the people with drawings and construction permit procedures. Currently, Ward 6 is also actively mobilizing the people through loudspeakers...

With many creative and effective solutions, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has been and is continuing to promote joint activities of XNT, NDN, striving to complete the goals set by the whole province. Besides, it is still necessary to have more cooperation and contribution from the whole community so that the emulation movement can soon reach the finish line, bringing joy of "settling down and working", stabilizing the lives of the disadvantaged for a long time.
