On the evening of June 2, after the second round of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's capacity assessment, a candidate at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) exam site complained that the invigilator in exam room P.042 18.14 took about 30 minutes of the candidate's test.

This candidate took the first round of the exam on March 30 and will take the second round on June 1, hoping to improve his score this time.

This candidate reported that after the bell rang at 8:30, the invigilator announced that this was the time to read the exam questions and not to hold a pen. At that time, this candidate felt suspicious because in the first round, he understood that this was the time to start doing the exam.

About 10 minutes later, a candidate in the room picked up a pen and was immediately reminded by the supervisor. When the candidate in the room asked about the time to do the test, the supervisor confirmed that this was the time to read the questions.

Then, a candidate in the room continued to talk about how in the first round, they did the test from 8:30 a.m. and did not have time to look at the test separately, but the invigilator kept reminding them to "wait for the bell to do the test."

At 9:00, which was 30 minutes late, when there was a final reminder from the candidate, the invigilator asked and found out that the actual test time was from 8:30.

Losing half an hour to do the test affected his spirit and test results. This candidate was also upset when the invigilator in charge of supervising a major exam did not clearly understand the time and exam regulations.

This candidate's sharing has attracted the attention of many people on forums.

According to information from the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City National University), the Examination Council has received feedback from candidates about the incident. The Examination Council is requesting the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology examination cluster to verify the information and report to the Council for handling.

The second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam took place on June 1 with nearly 95,000 candidates taking the exam. According to regulations, candidates will take the exam within 150 minutes from 8:30 to 11:00 for a test consisting of 120 objective multiple-choice questions.

During the first round of this exam, at an exam room at An Giang University, an incident occurred where the exam supervisor distributed the exam papers late, delaying the candidates' test time by nearly 20 minutes.

The examination board of this exam has directly contacted the candidates to apologize. Since there is no way for the candidates to retake the test or make up for the points, the examination board of this exam has also created conditions for candidates to retake the second round without collecting the exam fee of 300,000 VND.

The Ho Chi Minh City National University's Aptitude Test is the largest direct university entrance exam in the country in terms of the number of candidates and the number of schools using the test results for admission.

To date, about 110 universities and colleges nationwide use the results of this exam in admissions.
