In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, President of the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association, said that in order to summarize and re-evaluate the activities of the Vietnam real estate market in 2024 as well as forecast market trends in 2025, the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association organized the Vietnam Real Estate Market Forum 2025, with the theme "Vietnam real estate market is ready to enter a new era". The event promises to bring a lot of multi-dimensional, practical and useful information, through published research results as well as sharing and discussion from experts and guests.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, the Vietnamese real estate market in 2024 has passed the most difficult period with many positive recovery results and is still closely following the recovery process with much room for growth in the future. This is the result of the determination and close supervision from the Government , ministries and branches; the efforts of real estate businesses; and the support and companionship from the banking system.

“2024 is considered a pivotal year for the Vietnamese real estate market, thanks to major steps in perfecting the legal framework under the leadership of the Party and State, the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister, along with the active participation of the entire political system, all levels and sectors. This is not only an important foundation to overcome current difficulties but also marks the beginning of a period of strong and sustainable transformation of the real estate market in the coming time, with increasingly transparent and clear information,” said Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh.

Speaking at the Forum, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh affirmed that the Government and relevant ministries and branches have been implementing many strong solutions to stabilize and sustainably develop the real estate market, especially the implementation of social housing projects and removing institutional obstacles.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh, the Vietnamese real estate market has had positive changes in recent times thanks to the Government's effective management policies. The Government has implemented a group of solutions to remove difficulties for the real estate market, including amending and supplementing legal regulations to promote the strong development of the market.

The Deputy Minister said that the Government has paid special attention to resolving difficulties in implementing real estate projects, especially social housing projects. This not only helps to reduce the shortage of supply but also meets the housing needs of people, especially low- and middle-income families.

One of the important highlights in the development of the real estate market is the National Assembly's approval of four important laws, including the Land Law, the Real Estate Business Law, the Housing Law and the Law on Credit Institutions. These laws have helped create a clearer legal framework, facilitating real estate investment and transactions.

In addition, current legal regulations have also been adjusted, increasing decentralization and delegation of power to localities to simplify administrative procedures. This helps businesses and people to have easier access to real estate-related services, while minimizing difficulties in project implementation.

One of the most important goals of the Ministry of Construction in the coming time is to implement the project of 1 million social housing apartments. This is part of the social housing development strategy, helping to solve the housing shortage problem for low- and middle-income people.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh, the Prime Minister has given strong instructions to localities to implement this project, and currently, there are 644 social housing projects being implemented nationwide. Up to now, these projects have completed 57,000 apartments and are expected to continue to be strongly implemented in the coming years.

This demonstrates the strong commitment of the Government and the Ministry of Construction to improving people's quality of life, while contributing to stabilizing the real estate market. Mr. Sinh also said that the Ministry of Construction is focusing on implementing measures to remove obstacles for projects, and adjusting planning so that projects can be completed on schedule.

In 2024, housing supply in Vietnam increased by 8.6% compared to 2023, marking a positive signal in improving the housing situation across the country. New projects have been launched, especially social housing projects, which will contribute greatly to meeting the increasing housing demand, especially in the context of rapid urbanization.

The Deputy Minister also said that these projects will help create thousands of jobs, contribute to promoting local economic development and provide a better living environment for people. This is an important step in solving the housing shortage problem, while improving the quality of life for Vietnamese people.

With drastic and effective steps in institutional reform and implementation of social housing projects, the Vietnamese real estate market is showing signs of recovery and strong development. The goal of 1 million social housing apartments not only meets the needs of the people but also contributes to improving the quality of life, promoting the stability and sustainable development of the Vietnamese real estate market in the future.

These are projects that are outstanding, attractive and promising in the Vietnamese real estate market. Honoring and honoring projects does not only stop at recognizing contributions to the general market but also motivates investors to continue to implement increasingly higher quality projects, meeting the increasing demands of customers and people; bringing people a truly safe and convenient living space; contributing more to the stability and sustainable development of the Vietnamese real estate market./.
