NDO - On January 3, the electronic board was flooded with red right from the opening session, selling pressure increased sharply towards the end of the session, causing the main indices to plummet. The VN30 pillar stocks had 24 codes decreasing, including BVH, MWG, TCB, VIB, HDB, STB, CTG, SSI, TPB, VPB. At the end of the session, the VN-Index decreased by 15.12 points to 1,254.59 points.
On the HoSE floor, the order matching value this session increased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 12,022.90 billion; foreign investors net sold approximately VND 734 billion.
Today's session, the VN30 group of stocks closed with only 3 codes: PLX, SSB, VCB slightly increasing; 3 codes: BID, SHB, VHM remained unchanged, the rest all decreased.
Of which, BVH decreased the most when losing 3.4% to VND49,750/share, followed by MWG decreasing 3.3% to VND58,600/share, TCB decreasing 3.08% to VND23,600/share, VIB decreasing 2.79%, HDB decreasing 2.59%, STB decreasing 2.43%, CTG decreasing 2.36%, SSI decreasing 2.31%, TPB decreasing 2.11%, VPB decreasing 2.09%, MBB decreasing 1.98%, FPT decreasing 1.97%, ACB decreasing 1.95%, POW decreasing 1.76%, MSN decreasing 1.55%, HPG decreasing 1.48%, SAB decreasing 1.08%.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks, except for DTL and POM, stopped at the reference price, the rest all plummeted. Besides HPG mentioned above, HMC hit the floor to VND12,650/share, SMC decreased by 3.68%, VCA decreased by 3.31%, HSG decreased by 2.41%, NKG decreased by 2.05%, TLH decreased by 1.73%.
In the securities group, only TCI increased by 1.16%, the rest were in red. Besides SSI mentioned above, ORS decreased by 3.89%, DSE decreased by 3.8%, BSI decreased by 3.22%, VDS decreased by 3.16%, HCM decreased by 2.56%, FTS decreased by 2.6%, CTS decreased by 2.4%, APG decreased by 2.39%, VCI decreased by 2.38%, VND decreased by 1.98%, AGR decreased by 1.75%, TVS decreased by 1.55%, TVB and VIX decreased slightly.
Banking stocks were also almost completely covered in red and closed down 1.35%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB decreased by 2.67%, LPB decreased by 2.72%, MSB decreased by 2.16%, OCB decreased by 1.81%, NAB decreased by 1.88%.
Real estate stocks closed down 0.48%, of which DXS decreased by 2.52%, HTL decreased by 2.27%, QCG decreased by 2.17%, SCR decreased by 2.99%, TDH decreased by 4.25%, TEG decreased by 2.54%...
Besides, industries such as: insurance decreased by 2.51%, transportation decreased by 2.26%, food-beverage and tobacco decreased by 1.56%, software decreased by 1.88%, distribution and retail decreased by 1.47%, consumer goods and decoration decreased by 1.32%, production materials, raw materials, and utilities decreased slightly.
On the other hand, the telecommunications industry closed up 0.18%.
* The Vietnamese stock market index plunged today, VNXALL-Index closed down 32.64 points (-1.54%), to 2,085.13 points. Liquidity with trading volume reached 535.54 million units, equivalent to trading value of VND 13,833.64 billion. In the whole market, there were 95 stocks increasing in price, 78 stocks remaining unchanged and 288 stocks decreasing in price.
* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 225.66 points, down 2.03 points (-0.89%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 52.47 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND816.84 billion. The entire floor had 57 stocks increasing, 61 stocks remaining unchanged and 102 stocks decreasing.
The HNX30 index closed down 5.25 points (-1.09%) to 474.04 points. Trading volume reached about 26.39 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND584.72 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 6 stocks increasing, 7 stocks remaining unchanged and 17 stocks decreasing.
On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index decreased, closing at 94.34 points, down 0.71 points (-0.75%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 54.85 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 566.23 billion VND. * At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 15.12 points (-1.19%) to 1,254.59 points. Liquidity reached over 553.30 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND13,568.84 billion. The entire floor had 69 stocks increasing, 46 stocks remaining unchanged and 353 stocks decreasing.
The VN30 Index decreased by 22.62 points (-1.68%) to 1,320.58 points. Liquidity reached more than 197.51 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND6,416.98 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 3 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 24 stocks decreasing.
