[Video] International Nurses Day (May 12): Honoring the silent contributions

Responding to International Nurses Day in Vietnam is not only a show of gratitude, but has become a strong driving force to promote policy innovation and enhance the role and position of nurses in the modern health system.

Honoring is a starting point, but to create real change, there needs to be practical innovative policies, effective investment in training, resource development and improved working conditions for nurses. An effective, equitable and humane health system can only be firmly built when nurses are placed at the center, properly invested and given the conditions to fully develop their capacity.
