Buon Ho Town announces project to adjust the General Planning to 2045

On the morning of March 12, the People's Committee of Buon Ho town held a conference to announce the project to adjust the General Planning of Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province until 2045. Attending the conference were representatives of provincial departments and branches; leaders of the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Buon Ho town.

At the Conference, the People's Committee of Buon Ho town announced Decision No. 621/QD-UBND, dated February 26, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the project to adjust the General Planning of Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province to 2045. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee approved the project to adjust the General Planning of Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province to 2045, with the entire administrative boundary including 07 wards and 05 communes, total area of about 28,260.99 hectares; forecast population size by 2045, about 138,500 people (Of which, inner city: 105,000 people, suburban: 33,500 people); It is forecasted that by 2045, the land area will be about 8,269.19 hectares of inner-city land, about 19,991.81 hectares of suburban land, and about 8,178.76 hectares of urban construction land.

In terms of nature, Buon Ho town is a regional ecological urban area, the center of the Central Highlands sub-region. It is an important trading hub of the economic corridor connecting the Central Highlands, the South Central Coast and the Northeast of Cambodia; it is the political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological and tourism center of the northern region of Dak Lak province; it has an important position in terms of security and defense, and at the same time, it is also the center of ecological and cultural tourism; the concentrated industrial center, the coffee processing center of the region and the whole country.

The Project's oriented goal is to build Buon Ho urban area to develop sustainably, with a synchronous and modern social and technical infrastructure system, harmoniously developing culture with socio-economics, focusing on environmental protection. The orientation of Buon Ho urban space development is to be a type III urban area by 2025, the core center of the northern economic region of the province, the economic exchange hub and the traffic hub of the region, creating conditions to promote urbanization, sustainable economic development, improving the quality of life of the people; at the same time, it is the basis for land management; The basis for establishing zoning plans, detailed plans of areas and establishing investment projects to build technical infrastructure frameworks in the urban area.

Chairman of Buon Ho Town People's Committee Dang Gia Duan said: In the past time, in addition to directing drastic solutions to develop socio -economy, ensure national defense and security in the locality such as: actively attracting and calling for investment resources for urban development; focusing on economic development, especially key local products; improving the effectiveness of administrative reform, the removal of bottlenecks in planning work has also been paid attention to and made efforts by the Town People's Committee. After the Project to adjust the general planning of Buon Ho Town is approved, Buon Ho Town will continue to review and adjust zoning plans and detailed plans for management, promotion and investment attraction.
