Trang Bang Town: Speeding up compensation and site clearance for the highway

Receiving and working with the delegation, there were Mr. Doan Minh Long - Secretary of Trang Bang Town Party Committee, Mr. Tran Tuong Quoc - Chairman of Town People's Committee.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Construction Investment Project (section passing through Trang Bang town) is over 11.3 km long and is invested by the Provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project affects over 1,000 households, individuals and organizations with a land acquisition area of over 136 hectares. The total cost of compensation, site clearance support and resettlement is over VND 1,429 billion.

The compensation and site clearance work of the project has been focused on by the Town People's Committee. Up to now, Trang Bang Town has completed the determination of the compensation scope according to the boundary; the measurement and counting of houses, structures, trees, crops; the consultancy and determination of land prices; and the notification of land recovery for households, individuals and organizations affected by the project.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Chien requested the People's Committee of Trang Bang town to speed up the progress of compensation, support for site clearance and resettlement to implement the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Construction Investment Project (section passing through the town); publicly post the draft compensation plan; strengthen propaganda work, organize dialogues, resolve people's petitions; appraise compensation plans, support for site clearance and resettlement in the direction of ensuring the rights of households, individuals and organizations affected by the project.
