On the afternoon of May 20, at the spiritual tourist area of Tam Chuc Pagoda (Kim Bang District, Ha Nam Province), a strange natural phenomenon appeared, a brilliant rainbow across the sky in the midst of light rain, making thousands of tourists and Buddhists present here extremely excited and moved, especially when they were in the moment of worshiping Buddha's relics.

Rainbow appeared at Tam Chuc Pagoda on the afternoon of May 20

According to records, at around 5:30 p.m. the same day, it started to rain lightly. While many people were performing rituals and worshiping Buddha's relics at Tam The Temple, a rainbow suddenly stretched across the sky for about 15 minutes. The colorful lights reflected on the surface of Tam Chuc Lake, creating a sacred and magical scene.

Many people could not hide their surprise and emotion, thinking that this was a rare phenomenon. Many Buddhists and tourists took the opportunity to record this magical moment on their phones.

Mr. Tran Van Hung, a tourist from Ninh Binh shared: "I came to Tam Chuc Pagoda for the first time to worship Buddha's relics. I did not expect to witness a rainbow appear right after praying."

A rainbow is a natural optical phenomenon that occurs when sunlight passes through raindrops in the air.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “I have been to Tam Chuc Pagoda many times, but this is the first time I have seen a rainbow appear right in the pagoda area. It feels very sacred and peaceful.”

Rainbows are a natural optical phenomenon that usually occurs when sunlight shines through raindrops in the air. However, their timely appearance in a sacred space like Tam Chuc Pagoda and at a time when many people are sincerely worshiping Buddha's relics makes this moment special.

At the request of the Government of Vietnam with the advice of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the Government of India has agreed to extend the enshrinement of Buddha's relics in Vietnam beyond May 21 and proposed to provide a schedule of the next exhibition locations.
