This winter-spring crop, Vinh Ninh commune planted the main varieties, including: HT1, HN6, Dai Thom 8, Bac Thinh... with a total area of over 430 hectares.
Vice Chairman of Vinh Ninh Commune People's Committee Nguyen Duc Phung said that to ensure the winter-spring crop has high productivity and quality, the Commune People's Committee has focused on directing the introduction of rice varieties with high productivity, quality, and resistance to pests and diseases into production suitable for each field. Villages and agricultural service cooperatives proactively provide seeds, fertilizers and necessary agricultural materials to farmers; at the same time, encourage farmers to apply the improved SRI rice intensive production method to save production costs. Thanks to the guaranteed irrigation water source, farmers actively take care of fertilization and prevent pests and diseases, so the rice plants grow well. This year's winter-spring crop, the commune's total yield reached 56.96 quintals/ha, with an output of more than 2,452 tons.
This year's crop, Vinh Ninh commune produced rice according to VietGAP process at Vinh Trung Agricultural Production, Business and Service Cooperative. On an area of 30 hectares, the Cooperative has coordinated with Quang Binh Seed Company Limited to implement a chain of linkage and consumption of HT1 rice products. Participating in the chain, people only focus on production while the company supplies seeds, fertilizers and consumes products for people. Thanks to proper care according to technical processes, the yield is high, from 56-57 quintals/ha.

In the fields of Ham Ninh commune, farmers are busy harvesting rice at this time. Thanks to strict adherence to the crop calendar, the rice fields here are entering the mass harvest period.
Vice Chairman of Ham Ninh Commune People's Committee Vo Huu Cuong said that in the winter-spring crop, the whole commune planted more than 374 hectares of rice, focusing on varieties such as: HN6, DB6, VNR20, TBR97... This year's crop, with abundant water resources, favorable weather, and few pests and diseases, the rice plants grew well. Many fields were planted with the same variety and the same crop schedule, so they could be harvested simultaneously, making it convenient to arrange harvesters in a rolling manner. To expedite the winter-spring rice harvest, many cooperatives in the area have proactively contacted harvester owners to actively harvest rice for the people. At present, people in the commune have harvested more than 90% of the winter-spring rice area, with an estimated yield of more than 58 quintals/ha and an estimated output of more than 2,172 tons. Many villages have achieved high productivity, such as: Ham Hoa (62.3 tons/ha), Tran Xa (57.8 tons/ha), Truong Nien (56.4 tons/ha)...
In the 2024-2025 winter-spring crop, Quang Ninh district will plant nearly 5,200 hectares of rice with the main rice varieties being high-yielding varieties suitable for local characteristics, such as: P6, hybrid rice varieties, HT1, VNR20, TBR1, Xuan Mai, Dai Thom 8... Of which, P6 and TBR1 are 2 varieties that are considered suitable for the land of Quang Ninh district, so they are put into production on over 60% of the district's total area.
To ensure the productivity and output of the winter-spring crop as planned, the District People's Committee has directed professional units and localities to guide people to ensure the crop schedule; pay attention to renovating and repairing the irrigation canal system, ensuring irrigation water for production. Along with developing specific production plans, the district focuses on implementing solutions to shift the variety structure; bringing high-yield, high-quality varieties into production suitable for each land, increasing the rate of using certified varieties to over 65%.
Currently, localities in Quang Ninh district have basically finished harvesting winter-spring rice, with an average rice yield of 61.68 quintals/ha, and an estimated output of 30,909 tons. Many localities have achieved high yields (58-71 quintals/ha), such as: An Ninh, Gia Ninh, Hien Ninh.

According to Tran Van Trung, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh district, thanks to focusing on directing production according to the crop schedule, introducing new varieties with high yield and good quality into production, farmers have focused on investing in intensive farming, applying technical processes in care, so the rice plants have developed stably, giving high yields. Thanks to proactive water sources for irrigation for rice production; ensuring timely and timely pest control, most of the rice areas in the area have basically grown and developed well.

So far, farmers in Quang Ninh district have harvested over 4,200 hectares of winter-spring rice. Currently, the district is directing localities and agricultural cooperatives to mobilize human and material resources, and guide farmers to quickly harvest winter-spring rice. At the same time, proactively source seeds, human resources and plans to implement summer-autumn crop production; increase land accumulation, expand organic rice production area, focusing on expanding organic rice production area associated with consumption linkage with businesses.

With the motto "wherever winter-spring rice is harvested, the land is plowed for summer-autumn crop", farmers in Quang Ninh district are plowing the land and preparing agricultural equipment and materials to promptly deploy summer-autumn crop production.
