In May, despite the hot weather in Ho Chi Minh City, the warehouse of Magix Packaging Solutions Joint Stock Company (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) is always bustling. Dozens of employees of the company are working hard, some designing new product models, others packing packages to deliver to e-commerce platforms.
Opening a series of environmentally friendly packaging designs that are impact-resistant, prevent loss of goods during transportation, and shorten packaging time, Mr. Do Huu Tan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Magix Packaging Solutions Joint Stock Company, confidently introduced: it is the result of the research and creation process of Mr. Tan himself as well as the staff of Magix Company.

Sharing his initiatives, Mr. Do Huu Tan said that more than ten years ago, when ordering a watch from an e-commerce site, he received the goods with a paper box that was deformed due to the shipping process. At that time, working in the field of optimizing foreign business operations, Mr. Tan came up with the idea of improving the design and features of the paper box to make the box more sturdy and able to withstand impact during shipping.
When he quit his job at a foreign company, Mr. Tan and a friend decided to start a business by designing and supplying paper boxes to small businesses, then supplying them to e-commerce platforms.
Identifying the development trend of e-commerce, “Magix.vn - Optimal packaging solution” was born with the orientation of not simply processing paper boxes and packaging, but will provide customers with the most optimal packaging solution.
From this strategy, Mr. Do Huu Tan and his colleagues sought to change the product design to have better load-bearing capacity, simplify the packaging and shipping process to create convenience for sellers. The smart designs of Magix Company have helped the packaging process become faster and easier, reducing costs by 20%.
Not stopping there, through continued research, the Magix team realized that changes in the packaging process only benefited sellers, while buyers did not receive much added value, so they created more multi-purpose products.
It is a technology for packaging against theft of goods, paper boxes can be "transformed" into pencil boxes, book shelves... to bring different experiences to customers. Thanks to continuous improvement, Magix has launched hundreds of models of paper boxes, packaging, and stationery to meet the diverse needs of e-commerce.
Towards a green economy
Along with improvements in the process of producing products and optimal packaging solutions, after 8 years on the market, Magix Company's team has continuously researched and tested new, environmentally friendly products.
Mr. Do Huu Tan said that all Magix products and solutions are made through research and experimentation before mass production. Many designs and solutions are close to solutions in developed countries, and are even more optimized in terms of features and production costs. Currently, Magix has 17 patented solutions, of which 7 have been granted patents, and 10 other solutions are in the 2nd-3rd round.
Holding a paper box with a QR code printed on it and packing the goods takes less than 10 seconds, Mr. Do Huu Tan informed that currently a factory in Hoc Mon district (HCMC) with a maximum capacity of about 500,000 products/day is producing a variety of packaging types that have been researched and developed by Magix, mostly environmentally friendly paper packaging, most of the products belong to the design group that meets world standards.
“Magix packaging solutions are realized through highly applicable innovative packaging products. At the same time, it helps reduce the cost of paper materials by at least 10% compared to traditional designs, which reduces the cost of production, transportation, and storage due to the reduction of waste of production materials,” said Mr. Tan. He also said that Magix products and solutions are also useful because they can be reused and are environmentally friendly.
Not only doing business, with products that can be recycled many times, Mr. Do Huu Tan also wants to promote and contribute to raising awareness of sellers and buyers about environmental protection. With these products, the business is joining hands with users to create a generation with better awareness and behavior in protecting the environment.
The company's business results have grown strongly every year. Currently, Magix supplies about 8,000-10,000 retail orders on online platforms each month; serving about 5,000 online shops and 100 businesses. The total amount of packaging-related products supplied to the market is about 2.5-3 million products per month.
