“Following the direction of the higher-level Youth Union on the policy of teaching swimming to children in the summer, the Commune Youth Union has proactively cleaned the swimming pools, and after the launching ceremony of the Action Month for Children, the classes will be implemented immediately. The teachers have also taken the initiative to make the classes most effective, determined to help children learn to swim after attending the class,” said Mr. Phan Van Thach, Deputy Secretary of the Tam Giang Tay Commune Youth Union, Ngoc Hien District.
In the Month of Action for Children and Summer Activities 2023, all levels will strengthen their responsibilities, promote the pioneering and voluntary role of the Youth Union and Pioneers, together with the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members and young people to join hands to protect and care for children. Promote the coordination role between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and other agencies and organizations in implementing measures to prevent, support and resolve children's issues and implement policies and laws on child protection.

During the Action Month, the province will promote propaganda activities on preventing and combating child injuries, abuse, and drowning; improve skills and enhance the effectiveness of propaganda activities at all levels of the Youth Union, the Young Pioneers and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, contributing to conveying messages, solutions and creative approaches in the prevention and combat of child injuries, abuse, and drowning. Increase the mobilization of organizations, businesses, families and individuals to support and contribute resources to join hands in improving a safe, healthy living environment and comprehensive development for children.
Organize a communication campaign to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of agencies, organizations, individuals, families and communities in solving children's issues, preventing and minimizing risks of child abuse, accidents, child injuries, especially drowning, traffic accidents...
Actively guide children on life skills, self-protection skills and other related issues appropriate to their age, maturity and development.
Continue to maintain the youth volunteer team on-site in residential areas through implementing inspection, review, and posting danger signs in high-risk areas leading to drowning and traffic accidents for children.
Actively mobilize social resources to build activity and entertainment spots for children; reading, interaction and Team activities spaces; build, repair and decorate Friendly Toilets, Red Scarf Houses; give scholarships, gifts, school supplies, and means of transportation to school to help children have conditions to study, live, and prepare for the new school year...
To help children have a meaningful summer, the Month of Action for Children has practical activities, and coordination with relevant sectors has been strengthened, ensuring children live in a safe and healthy environment./.
