From the night of April 6 to the early morning of April 7, 15 ceremonial cannons were moved to Bach Dang wharf and completed installation, preparing for the April 30th celebration.

The cannons were placed in 5 clusters, each cluster of 3 cannons, the cannons were facing the Saigon River. After installation, this morning, April 8, the training activities began, attracting many people to watch.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online, a representative of Brigade 96 (Artillery Corps) said that the planned training period was from March 3 to April 5. However, the unit proactively started training on February 3, 1 month in advance.

From 10pm on April 6 to 3am on April 7, the cannons were moved to Bach Dang wharf for installation.

"We organize daily training. The general training, preliminary rehearsal, and final rehearsal days will follow the plan of the Parade Subcommittee.

The soldiers will practice from Monday to Saturday every week. Saturday afternoon is the time to preserve weapons and equipment. During the practice phase, they will use empty propellant or ceremonial primers. During the official period, they will use ceremonial shells.

In addition to training, we coordinate with the forces of the Ho Chi Minh City Command and Ho Chi Minh City Police to ensure security, safety, and patrol closely 24/7," he said.

According to the plan, on the morning of April 30, this artillery team will fire 21 rounds to the national anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In addition to the 15 official artillery pieces, there will be 3 other reserve artillery pieces.

Since early April, after surveying, the Ministry of National Defense has chosen Bach Dang Wharf Park to place the ceremonial fireworks because this is a spacious, solemn location, suitable for a ceremonial fireworks site. In addition, this is also a place where people can easily admire and visit.
