The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that from November 19, Quang Tri province and Hue city will have cold nights and mornings.
The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the Northern Delta and North Central regions is commonly 12-15 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous and midland areas of the North 9-12 degrees Celsius, in the high mountainous areas below 5 degrees Celsius in some places; Quang Tri province and Hue city 17-19 degrees Celsius.
Hanoi area has rain, showers; cold weather, some places very cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly around 12-14 degrees Celsius.
At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, there will be strong northeast winds of level 7, sometimes level 8, gusts of level 9-10, rough seas, waves 3.0-5.0m high; in the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone), there will be strong northeast winds of level 7-8, gusts of level 9-10, rough seas, waves 4-6m high; in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and the sea area north of the Central East Sea, there will be strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8-9, rough seas, waves 4-6m high. In the sea area from Gia Lai to Ho Chi Minh City, the northeast winds will gradually increase to level 6, gusts of level 7-8, waves 3-5m high, rough seas.
Due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone, there is widespread heavy rain in the area from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa.
Accordingly, from November 19 to November 20, the Da Nang area, the East of Quang Ngai to Dak Lak provinces and the North of Khanh Hoa will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 100-200mm, locally over 300mm. The Hue city area and the South of Khanh Hoa will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 30-70mm, locally over 150mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain >200mm/3 hours.
In addition, on November 19, the Central Highlands will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 20-40mm, locally heavy rain over 80mm; the Southern region in the afternoon and evening will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 50mm.
Thunderstorms may contain tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also warned that on the night of November 20 and 21, Da Nang City and the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and the northern part of Khanh Hoa will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-80mm, and locally very heavy rain of over 150mm.
