The Hydro-Meteorological Agency forecasts that in the late afternoon and evening of May 4, in the Central Highlands and the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, in some places over 50mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

Regarding the weather at sea, in the eastern sea of ​​the Central and Southern East Sea, the sea from Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand, there are showers and thunderstorms.

The East Sea (including the sea area east of Truong Sa archipelago), the sea area from Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6-7.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
