The meeting aimed to listen to people's thoughts and aspirations, answer questions related to compensation and resettlement policies, and call for people's consensus to speed up site clearance progress, ensuring that the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project is implemented as planned.

The Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project is one of the key national transport projects, expected to promote economic development, connecting the Northwest region with major economic centers such as Hanoi and Hai Phong.

At the dialogue, representatives of the city's functional agencies, along with the Van Hoa commune government, presented detailed compensation, support and resettlement policies for affected households.

Many households in Son Man village expressed their support for the project, and raised questions related to the project and the compensation and site clearance work for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.

The Chairman of Lao Cai City People's Committee affirmed that the city will carry out site clearance work transparently and fairly, ensuring the legitimate rights of people in accordance with legal regulations.

Acknowledging and answering questions from the people, the Chairman of Lao Cai City People's Committee emphasized the strategic importance of the high-speed railway project. This is not only an opportunity for Lao Cai City to upgrade its transport infrastructure but also a driving force for economic, tourism and trade development, creating more jobs for local people. At the same time, he affirmed that the city will closely coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure the progress of site clearance, carry out site clearance work transparently and fairly, and ensure the legitimate rights of the people in accordance with the law.
