The number of delegations returning to Uncle Ho's hometown to offer incense during the Sen Village Festival has increased dramatically.

According to the Management Board of the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site (Kim Lien Relic Site), Nam Dan, Nghe An, every year on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the number of tourists coming to the Relic Site to visit and offer flowers and incense to commemorate Uncle Ho is very large. This year, the peak days of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday also coincided with the time of the 2025 Sen Village Festival on a national scale, so the number of visitors skyrocketed.

In just 10 days from May 10 to May 19, Kim Lien Relic Site welcomed more than 3,500 groups and nearly 65,000 visitors, estimated to be double the number of the same period last year.

In particular, the number of delegations coming to offer flowers and incense in memory of Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the past few days has increased to a "record": more than 250 delegations, including delegations of high-ranking leaders of the Party and State, departments, branches, units... On average, about 20 delegations come to offer incense every day, the highest number of delegations was more than 60 delegations on the day.

Compared to 2024, the total number of groups offering incense at the Memorial House in the whole month of May was 295, an average of only about 10 groups per day.

Not to mention, the Relic Site has not yet had specific statistics on the number of people attending the opening night of the 2025 Sen Village Festival and the inauguration of the statue “Uncle Ho returns to his hometown” at the Sen Village Stadium. Actual records have shown that this event attracted a “sea of ​​people” to attend the program, and at the same time enjoy the fireworks display held for the first time in Sen Village on May 19.

To meet the needs of a large number of tourists, for many years now, Kim Lien Relic Site has been open at noon and extended the afternoon hours by an hour during peak times. The staff here almost all start work at 6am and finish after 6pm, operating at "full capacity" to serve 1.7 - 2 million visitors/year.
