Kinhtedothi-On the afternoon of February 7, at the 42nd Session, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered and passed a Resolution approving the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy on the working apparatus of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
According to the submission, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy proposed that the National Assembly Standing Committee approve the termination of operations, merger and rearrangement of a number of Department-level units under the Supreme People's Procuracy, specifically:
Merge the Department of Prosecution and Supervision of Economic Case Investigation (Department 3) and the Department of Prosecution and Supervision of Corruption and Position Case Investigation (Department 5); the name of the unit after the merger is "Department of Prosecution and Supervision of Economic Case Investigation and Corruption".
End of the activities of the Emulation and Reward Department, transfer of tasks to the Office of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
Merge Hanoi University of Procuracy (T2) and Ho Chi Minh City School of Procuracy Training and Development (T3); the name of the merged unit is "University of Procuracy", with a branch of the University of Procuracy in Ho Chi Minh City.
Restructure and rearrange the two units of the Department of Legislation and Science Management and the Procuracy Magazine into two units: the Department of Legislation and the Institute of Procuracy Science.
In addition, edit the names of some units under the Supreme People's Procuracy, ensuring they are concise and general but still fully reflect the functions and tasks of the unit.
After the reorganization, the working apparatus of the Supreme People's Procuracy consists of 24 units, including the following departments: Prosecution and Supervision of Security Case Investigation; Prosecution and Supervision of Social Order Case Investigation; Prosecution and Supervision of Economic and Corruption Case Investigation; Prosecution and Supervision of Drug Case Investigation; Prosecution and Supervision of Judicial Case Investigation; Prosecution and Supervision of Criminal Trial; Supervision of Detention and Execution of Criminal Sentences; Prosecution of Civil Cases; Prosecution of Administrative and Commercial Cases; Prosecution of Civil Sentence Execution; Prosecution of Judicial Complaints and Denunciations; International Cooperation and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters; Legislation; Organization and Personnel.
There are also: Procuracy Committee; Office; Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Department of Crime Statistics and Digital Transformation; Department of Finance; Inspectorate; University of Procuracy (with a branch of the University of Procuracy in Ho Chi Minh City); Institute of Procuracy Science; Law Protection Newspaper; Central Military Procuracy.
This Resolution comes into force from the date of its adoption.
