According to doctors at the Poison Control Center and Intensive Care Center - Bach Mai Hospital, up to now, 4 victims of the arson at Pham Van Dong coffee shop who were transferred to the Center on November 19 are currently in the process of recovery.

Previously, the victims were transferred in a state of respiratory failure, severe burns to the entire respiratory tract mucosa, bilateral diffuse lung damage, myocardial damage, rhabdomyolysis, poisoning from a mixture of toxic gases, airway obstruction due to soot from the fire, and even signs of impaired consciousness. The victims had a serious prognosis, with many risks of unpredictable developments and a poor prognosis.
Upon receiving the case, the Board of Directors directed: Make every effort to focus on treating the victims. Experts and leading doctors in many fields of emergency, anti-poisoning, resuscitation, respiratory, and infection at the Hospital's Institutes, Centers, Departments, and Rooms were mobilized to consult and provide timely and active treatment plans for the victims.
For the two female victims, the condition was more serious. After a period of treatment at the Intensive Care Center, on December 27, they were transferred to the Poison Control Center for further treatment of poisoning.

"Through intensive treatment, including mechanical ventilation, bronchial lavage, oxygen therapy, other treatments, and rehabilitation exercises, the four patients have had their endotracheal tubes removed, are alert, breathing well on their own, and are in the process of recovery.
Currently, the victims are being treated with high-pressure oxygen therapy and applying treatment methods to prevent complications with the nervous system and mind," said Dr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen, Director of the Poison Control Center, Bach Mai Hospital.
