Right after The Black Label officially announced the debut of the new girl group MEOVV in the second half of 2024, many predicted information about the group and its members began to attract the audience's attention.
According to Korean media, the girl group consists of 5 members, including 4 Koreans abroad and 1 Korean in the country.
The Black Label's famous trainees Ella Gross (Korean-German American), Bailey Sok (Korean-American), and Chloe Lee (Korean-American) may be three of the four overseas Korean members.
Additionally, some rumors suggest that the only domestic Korean member of MEOVV is former RU Next? contestant Lee Youngseo.
MEOVV (pronounced mee-ya-oh in Korean), launched their official SNS (social media platform debut) on August 16, Korean time, and revealed their group name and logo.
The group's motion logo features a cat paw decorated with glittering accessories. The logo's eye-catching features are its sharp claws, alluding to MEOVV's cute yet dangerous personality.
In another moving teaser posted by The Black Label on the same day, five black cats sit on top of the company's building, possibly referring to the five-member lineup.
MEOVV, produced by The Black Label's Teddy, is set to debut sometime in the second half of 2024.
Previously, Rosé (Blackpink) joined producer Teddy's company after leaving YG Entertainment.
Thus, Rosé is the only member in Blackpink who has not established her own company.
The Black Label started as a company under YG Entertainment in 2016, with producer Teddy (Park Hong Joon) as one of the founders.
