Previously, at 20:58 on June 2, Center 114 - Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC & CNCH), Hai Duong Provincial Police received a report of a fire at Hua Hong Vietnam Technology Development Company Limited, located in Lac Duc village, Hung Dao commune, Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province, operating in the business of electroplating products of plastic parts, the legal representative is Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, born in 1994.
Immediately after receiving the fire alarm, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Hai Duong Provincial Police coordinated with Hung Dao Commune Police and Tu Ky District Electricity to mobilize forces and vehicles including: 1 command vehicle, 6 fire trucks, 3 vehicle transport vehicles, 5 fire pumps, 45 officers and soldiers and 10 people from local forces to participate in fire fighting activities.
At about 9:15 p.m. the same day, the authorities arrived at the scene and found that the fire had spread to about 300 square meters in the plating workshop of Hua Hong Vietnam Technology Development Co., Ltd., with a steel frame structure, corrugated iron roof, brick walls covered with corrugated iron, combustibles: plastic, packaging, paint spraying solvent. The fire emitted a lot of toxic smoke, high temperature and spread to 4 neighboring businesses including: Vinamek Electromechanical Joint Stock Company, New Life Joint Stock Company, Thien Loi Embroidery Co., Ltd., Tong Hao Vietnam Plastic Co., Ltd., with a total fire area of about 1,200 square meters.
The fire fighting command organized fire fighting activities such as: moving assets, reducing the amount of flammable substances in the fire area, ensuring security and order, ensuring traffic, and water sources were quickly deployed; especially the tactics of preventing the spread of fire, protecting neighboring structures and organizing fire extinguishing with water were carried out drastically: Therefore, by 10:00 p.m. on June 2, the fire was controlled, with no possibility of spreading to factories and neighboring structures. By 1:30 a.m. on June 3, the fire was completely extinguished.
The fire did not cause any human casualties. However, the assets and factories of Hua Hong Vietnam Technology Development Company Limited and neighboring companies: Tong Hao Vietnam Plastic Company Limited, Thien Loi Embroidery Company Limited, Vinamek Electromechanical Joint Stock Company, New Life Joint Stock Company were damaged by heat (currently being assessed). Currently, the authorities are investigating and handling the fire according to regulations.
