Hanoi rectifies the situation of passenger buses stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations

The Hanoi Department of Construction has just issued a document requesting urgent action to remedy the situation of passenger buses stopping, parking and picking up and dropping off passengers in areas outside bus stations in the city.

According to the Department of Construction, recently, there has been a situation where passenger buses operate outside the station, causing disorder and traffic safety. In this situation, the Department requires transport units to regularly inform bus companies, drivers and service staff about strictly complying with the provisions of the Road Traffic Law and the Law on Traffic Order and Safety.

Strictly handle illegal parking.

The Department also strictly prohibits violations such as: Overloading, mixed transport of passengers and goods, transporting flammable and explosive goods, prohibited goods, contraband goods, live animals on passenger vehicles; drivers and employees using alcohol, beer, stimulants while working; vehicles lacking valid documents or without a dispatch order from the transport unit; stopping, parking and picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations, especially in areas around bus stations.

In addition, the Department requires bus station management units to increase propaganda through the station's information system, reminding transport units and bus companies to strictly comply with regulations on passenger transport business. At the same time, organize businesses and drivers to sign a commitment not to stop, park and pick up and drop off passengers in violation of regulations, especially in the area in front of and around the bus station.
