On May 28, in response to VTC News, Lieutenant Colonel Linh Hong Thanh - Commander of the Na Ri District Military Command (Bac Kan) said that the authorities had mobilized nearly 30 officers and soldiers to actively search for the person who fell into the 10m deep sinkhole. However, due to the complex terrain of the sinkhole, as of 5:00 p.m. today, the authorities had not yet found the victim.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Linh Hong Thanh, due to the complicated nature of the case, authorities continue to make every effort to find the victim as quickly as possible.
The incident attracted great attention from local people. For many days now, hundreds of people have gathered around the scene to watch the rescue work. The victim's identity has also been identified as Nguyen Duy Ph. (born in 1989), residing in Kim Hy commune, Na Ri district.
While the authorities are actively searching, Nguyen Duy Ph.'s relatives are still worried day and night, waiting for news about the victim.
Mr. Ph's family hopes to find his body soon so they can bring him home for burial, and at the same time calls on everyone to continue supporting the rescue work.
Previously, as VTC News reported that at around 9:00 p.m. on May 26, Nguyen Duy Ph. (36 years old, living in Kim Hy commune, Na Ri district) drove his motorbike at high speed and crashed into a fenced area, warning of danger due to a large sinkhole. After that, both the man and the motorbike fell into the deep hole.
On the night of the incident, Na Ri district authorities quickly arrived and deployed rescue work.
Authorities have mobilized many modern and manual equipment such as specialized cameras, field pumps, mechanical tools... to search in the hole more than 10m deep to drain water from the hole, creating conditions to access the area where the victim is trapped.
