Attracting global tech startup talent to Da Nang

ĐNO - On the afternoon of November 29, the closing event of the 2025 Startup Residency Program (Hacker Residency Da Nang 2025) took place in Da Nang, with the participation of 13 international startup groups, mentors, investors and technology experts.

Hacker Residency Da Nang 2025 aims to attract international technology startups to work and experience in Da Nang, creating a bridge with the local startup ecosystem. The program stands out with the “all-in product” model.

The program takes place from November 1-30, initiated by Hacker Residency Group (a global startup support organization established in Silicon Valley), in coordination with the Danang Center for Innovation and Startup Support, with the accompaniment of DataHouse - an information technology solution provider operating in the US, Vietnam and the Philippines.

During their participation, startups will focus on product development, showcasing their ideas at regular demos, receiving in-depth advice on fundraising, marketing and go-to-market strategies, as well as establishing relationships with the startup community, investors and mentors in Da Nang.

In 2025, the program received more than 400 applications from more than 25 countries, including the US, Singapore, South Korea, India and many countries in Southeast Asia. At the same time, it attracted the attention of prestigious investors and venture capital funds such as: Zinance Ventures, Antler and Golden Gate Ventures.

Deputy Director of the Center for Supporting Innovative Startups in Da Nang City, Vo Duc Anh, said that Da Nang aims to develop an innovative startup ecosystem by 2030, supporting about 600 projects, establishing 500 startups and achieving at least 1 unicorn.

To realize this goal, the city issued specific policies; implemented the establishment of an international financial center in Da Nang, thereby creating a favorable business environment, attracting more domestic and international resources.

At the same time, it is committed to continuing to advise and improve policies and visa procedures and support business opening procedures, in order to create the most favorable conditions for startups and businesses to invest in the city.

Within the framework of the program, 13 international startup groups (including 3 groups from Vietnam) introduced innovative solutions in many technology fields.
