Ahead of the 2023-2024 season, the Thai League has selected a dream team, consisting of 11 Southeast Asian players who have played in the land of the golden pagoda.
Dang Van Lam is currently the number one goalkeeper of the Vietnam national team.
Notably, despite playing for Muangthong for less than 2 seasons and having 42 appearances in the Thai League, Dang Van Lam was given the goalkeeper position in this squad.
According to Thai media, despite not having a very long playing time, the goalkeeper of the Vietnamese team has shown his star qualities.
Wearing the Muangthong shirt, the "goalkeeper" with Vietnamese and Russian blood showed impressive reflexes and control of the penalty area.
Currently, Van Lam is playing for Binh Dinh Club and still has quite good performances.
The remaining players in this squad include defender Aguinaldo (Philippines), Irfan Fandi (Singapore), Dion Cools (Malaysia), midfielder Vongchiengkham (Laos), Irfan Bachdim (Indonesia), Faiq Bolkiah (Brunei), Safawi Rasid (Malaysia), Aung Thu (Myanmar), striker Ikhsan Fandi (Singapore) and Javier Patino (Philippines).
