Reus is a notable star of LA Galaxy. |
According to Goal , Reus earns over $25,000 per week at LA Galaxy, a figure considerably lower than when he played in Europe for Dortmund. In his final season at Signal Iduna Park, the midfielder pocketed nearly $146,000 per week.
At LA Galaxy, Reus is only the fifth highest earner. Leading the pack is former Barcelona player Riqui Puig, who pockets over $89,000 per week.
Following Riqui Puig are Joseph Paintsil (over $80,000 /week), Gabriel Fortes Chaves (over $47,000 /week), and Diego Fagundez (over $27,000 /week).
Reus joined LA Galaxy in September 2024 on a free transfer, signing a 2.5-year contract. At the age of 35, the midfielder won his first US national championship with LA Galaxy.
Reus was once considered one of the unluckiest players in world football, having finished second five times in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League, and missing out on winning the 2014 World Cup with the German national team.
Throughout his 12 seasons at Dortmund, Reus was praised for his loyalty and tireless contributions. He scored 170 goals and provided 131 assists for the Signal Iduna Park club.
While playing for the national team, Reus made 48 appearances and scored 15 goals.
