This is a vivid proof that the professional capacity of the Vietnamese medical team can completely approach, master and pioneer the application of super-specialized techniques, which were previously only available in the world's leading medical centers, opening up prospects for regional cooperation, contributing to making Vietnam a specialized center of fetal medicine and individual medicine in Southeast Asia and Asia.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan requested the Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management to guide Children's Hospital 1 and Tu Du Hospital to complete procedures to submit to the Ministry's leaders for approval and officially deploy fetal heart catheterization technique.
Regarding the situation of a Singaporean pregnant woman who had a successful fetal intervention on the morning of May 28, Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Director of Tu Du Hospital, said that doctors are currently closely monitoring the situation and the fetus's heart catheterization is only an initial success.
The ultimate goal is for the fetus in the mother's womb to be born healthy.
"The attention, monitoring and direction of the Ministry of Health and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health will be the motivation for doctors to continue preparing for the next fetal heart catheterization cases," said Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai.
