The Prime Minister directed to focus on responding to floods on the Ba River (Dak Lak) and the Kon River (Gia Lai).

The Prime Minister requested localities to mobilize military, police and other forces, all means, and by all means to immediately approach deeply flooded, isolated, and landslide-affected residential areas to promptly evacuate people to safety.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has just signed Official Dispatch No. 222/CD-TTg dated November 19, 2025 on focusing on responding to exceptionally large floods on the Ba River (Dak Lak) and emergency floods on the Kon River ( Gia Lai ).

Currently, the flood situation in Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces is very complicated. According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the flood on the Kon River continues to rise and is above alert level 3, the Ba River at Phu Lam station continues to rise and is above alert level 3 and equal to the historical flood level in 1993.

To proactively prevent, avoid and respond to exceptionally large floods and emergency floods to ensure the safety of people's lives and minimize property damage, the Prime Minister requested the Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces and Ministries and branches to continue to focus on drastic and effective implementation according to the Prime Minister's direction in Official Dispatches No. 217, 218, 219/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

In which, urgently carry out a number of urgent tasks, mobilize military, police and other forces, all means, by all measures to immediately approach deeply flooded, divided, isolated, landslide-prone residential areas to promptly evacuate people to safety.

Along with that, ensure food, drinking water, and essential necessities in the areas where people are evacuated and relocated, so that people do not go hungry, cold, or lack drinking water. Proactively direct the safe operation of hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs to ensure effective flood reduction and reduction for downstream areas, and absolutely do not let dams become unsafe.

The Prime Minister requested localities to increase forces to control, support, guide, and coordinate traffic remotely to divert traffic, resolutely not allowing people and vehicles to enter deeply flooded and landslide areas. Closely monitor the developments of especially heavy rains and floods, and emergency floods; promptly inform authorities and people at all levels to proactively prevent and avoid them to the highest possible extent.

The Ministers of National Defense and Finance promptly provide means and equipment upon request of localities to support overcoming consequences when requested by localities. Ministries and branches, according to their functions, tasks and authority, proactively coordinate with localities to direct competent agencies to deploy work to prevent, combat and respond to especially heavy rain and floods, limiting damage.
