Prime Minister dialogues with Vietnamese farmers

Attending the dialogue were over 4,300 delegates including leaders of central ministries, departments and branches; experts, scientists, businesses, cooperatives, and representatives of typical farmers across the country. Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended at the Ninh Thuan province bridge.

At the dialogue, farmers directly reflected to the Government and the Prime Minister issues related to the fields of agriculture , farmers and rural areas such as: Need to improve mechanisms, policies, and resources to support cooperatives and cooperative groups in organizing production and business according to value chains; planning raw material areas, concentrated and large-scale commodity production according to standards and meeting market consumption for key national product groups; focusing on investing in deep processing of coffee, pepper, mulberry, and tra fish. Solving and removing technical barriers and international legal disputes to effectively implement trade promotion activities and stabilize the export market for agricultural products; paying attention to supporting credit capital for agricultural development; adjusting and supplementing support policies for farmers, cooperatives, and businesses affected by natural disasters, especially the recent typhoon Yagi. Innovating the organization and improving the quality of vocational training associated with job creation for workers, ensuring social welfare equity in rural areas...

Based on the comments, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of central ministries, branches and sectors answered the issues raised by farmers at the dialogue. The Prime Minister affirmed: Developing effective and sustainable agriculture and building modern rural areas is the responsibility of the entire Party and people to contribute to the country's economic development; many specific development policies and strategies issued in recent times have clearly demonstrated the sense of responsibility of the entire political system from the central to local levels. Promoting the achieved results, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to absorb and quickly resolve the issues raised by farmers at the dialogue; focus on reviewing and re-evaluating the issued policies that are no longer suitable and promptly amending and adjusting them to ensure they are close to reality. Innovating thinking in agricultural production, synchronously implementing land planning solutions, developing plans for crop and livestock development associated with the consumption market; Strengthen trade promotion, promote activities to support the consumption of agricultural products; invest in credit for linkages and high technology to serve the restructuring of the agricultural sector. Strengthen propaganda and orientation for members and farmers to effectively promote land potential, form appropriate production models, increase income, improve life, and join hands to promote stable and long-term development of agriculture and rural areas.
