Accompanying the Prime Minister were members of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation and Algerian Minister of Veterans and Meritorious People Abdelmalek Tacherift.
Writing in the guestbook here, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully bowed, admired and paid tribute to the soldiers and revolutionary heroes who sacrificed for the national independence of Algeria and the national liberation movement, including the Vietnamese people.
Sharing with Minister Abdelmalek Tacherift and Algerian friends, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that solidarity creates strength to defeat any enemy. In the past, Vietnam and Algeria were united in the struggle for national liberation, creating motivation and inspiration for each other to win; today the two countries continue to promote solidarity and unity in building and defending the Fatherland, developing the country quickly and sustainably.

This is also a common point, a valuable heritage between the two nations, invisible but profound and effective, which both sides need to continue to preserve and promote today. The Prime Minister suggested that both sides strengthen the education of today's and future young generations about the fine tradition of solidarity between the two countries. Once united and unified, they should unite even more to maintain independence and sovereignty , build a beautiful and prosperous country, bring an increasingly happy and prosperous life to the people, each year better than the previous year, each decade better than the previous decade.
Algerian Minister of Veterans and Meritorious People Abdelmalek Tacherift expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister's remarks and said that continuing to promote solidarity and unity as the Prime Minister mentioned is the responsibility of the generations of leaders and people of the two countries. The Minister believes that if solidarity and unity continue, the two countries will move towards an increasingly better future.

The Martyrs' Monument, known in Arabic as Maqam Echahid, is the national symbol of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, located on El Hamma Hill overlooking the capital city of Algiers. Inaugurated in 1982 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Independence Day (1962-1982), the monument honors those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the Fatherland.
The monument was designed by a Canadian architect in collaboration with Algerian engineers and artisans. The entire structure is about 92 meters high, consisting of three large arches symbolizing the three stages of the nation's struggle for independence. At the top is the eternal flame (Flamme Éternelle), symbolizing the immortal spirit of the heroic martyrs. At the foot of the monument is a complex including the Veterans Museum (Musée national du Moudjahid), spaces displaying images, documents and artifacts about the liberation resistance (1954-1962).
Not only does it have historical and artistic value, Maqam Echahid is also a convergence point of national memory - a place to hold national memorial ceremonies, welcome heads of state and international delegates, and is a place to educate the young generation of Algeria about patriotic traditions.

* Next, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, visited the Algerian National Veterans Museum in the capital city of Algiers. This is one of the leading cultural and historical museums in Algeria. Construction began on November 17, 1981 and was officially inaugurated on November 1, 1984, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the November 1, 1954 Uprising (the day marking the outbreak of the Algerian people's armed resistance war for independence against French colonialism).

The museum's mission is to collect, preserve and display artifacts and documents related to Algeria's military history from prehistoric to modern times; it currently holds about 8,000 artifacts, including weapons, military uniforms, documents, maps, photos, paintings, statues, archaeological artifacts and military equipment.
The interior exhibition space is designed according to historical progression, divided into themes: prehistoric, ancient, Islamic, modern and contemporary. In addition to its exhibition function, the museum is also a venue for scientific conferences, memorial activities and international exchanges.

* At the museum, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife attended the launching ceremony of the book "Dien Bien Phu" in Saudi Arabian.
The Dien Bien Phu victory is an immortal heroic epic, a “golden milestone”, “recorded in national history as a Bach Dang, a Chi Lang or a Dong Da in the 20th century and entered world history as a brilliant feat of arms of oppressed peoples”. The Dien Bien Phu victory forced the French colonialists to sign the Geneva Agreement on ending the war, restoring peace in Indochina, withdrawing troops from Vietnam and Indochina, and pledging to respect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Vietnam.

As the Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army, directly commanding the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, General Vo Nguyen Giap wrote many works and articles about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign during his lifetime. The book Dien Bien Phu by General Vo Nguyen Giap has been published many times, and with each publication, the General has supplemented, edited, and perfected it.

The book was first written in 1964, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, based on the article "Dien Bien Phu" published in Nhan Dan Newspaper in 1958. From 1964 to now, the book continued to be supplemented with documents and reprinted in 1979, 1994, 1998, 2004, 2009, 2013, 2016, 2018... This book has been revised and supplemented with a number of articles, documents, and historical events related to the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, collected and selected by Mr. Vo Hong Nam - the General's son. The book's content consists of three parts:
Part 1: President Ho Chi Minh's letter to the Dien Bien Phu front, including six letters from Uncle Ho to the cadres and soldiers of the Dien Bien Phu front. He praised the soldiers, laborers, youth volunteers and the people of the Northwest... for their solidarity and bravery in serving the battle and fighting in the decisive strategic battle of our army and people.

Part two: Dien Bien Phu, presents the developments of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and the author's profound analysis and interpretation of this great historical event. Accordingly, the author analyzes the leadership and strategic direction of the Party, the combined efforts of the army and people and the ingenious military art, the national strength and the strength of the times creating a combined strength to defeat all enemies, regain independence and freedom for the Fatherland.
Part three: articles about Dien Bien Phu, including articles, interviews... by General Vo Nguyen Giap about the Dien Bien Phu Victory, such as: comments on the significance of the Dien Bien Phu campaign; Lessons of victory from the Dien Bien Phu campaign...
The book's appendix provides a number of historical documents such as daily orders, letters, mobilization orders, attack orders, reports, and a timeline of the main events of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign...
With rich historical documents, presented objectively and scientifically, compiled by General Vo Nguyen Giap, the highest commander of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, the book Dien Bien Phu is a valuable document with many values, helping readers to understand comprehensively, deeply and systematically the developments, scale and great significance of this great historical event.
