Joining the festival were Party Central Committee members Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh; Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defense ; Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee Giang Pao My; leaders of ministries, branches, central and local agencies; and thousands of ethnic people from 4 villages in Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province.
From early morning, people from Sa De Phin, Hat Ho, Sang Phin and Mao Sao Phin villages were excited to attend the festival. Sa De Phin commune is a land rich in revolutionary traditions, with many contributions to the resistance war against French colonialism and the border war to protect the Fatherland.
Sa De Phin commune has 4 villages with 460 households, including 4 ethnic groups living together, of which the Mong ethnic group accounts for over 80%. This is also a place that preserves many unique and rich traditional cultural values of the Mong ethnic group.
In the atmosphere of solidarity and joy, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his joy at attending the Great Unity Day and witnessing the people attending the festival in an excited and joyful atmosphere. The Prime Minister also thanked the people of all ethnic groups for their warm and friendly feelings towards him and the working delegation.
Thousands of people welcomed the Prime Minister to attend the National Great Unity Day.
The Prime Minister spent a lot of time sharing with the people of all ethnic groups and local leaders about the tradition of great solidarity in the history of the nation, and emphasized: "Solidarity is a precious tradition of our nation and an invaluable historical lesson throughout the process of fighting for national independence as well as carrying out two strategic tasks, which are building and defending the Fatherland. We must strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges."
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also visited Lai Chau ginseng growing facility - Thai Minh High-tech Agriculture Joint Stock Company, in Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district.
This is the place to research, preserve and breed Lai Chau ginseng - a ginseng variety considered a "National Treasure" that has now affirmed its outstanding advantages and created jobs for thousands of local people.
